The rapid pace of advances in AI, combined with its widespread deployment, introduced a range of questions ripe for legal analysis—from liability regimes that could mitigate risks to how administrative law will help or hinder the adoption of regulations in response to harder, better, faster, stronger models. These important conversations, though, are disproportionately occurring at elite institutions.

We want to democratize this field of legal inquiry. A more inclusive and diverse community investigating these questions will result in better answers, and better questions, as AI further integrates itself society.

The Plan

With this effort in mind, we plan to create an opportunity for law students at schools across the country (and world!) to hear about the latest updates and research on AI and the law. We think this effort is best captured by the "brown-bag lunch"—a time to engage with the latest implications of AI meets law in a friendly, collegial environment.
